Like many people that lecture or write, I have thousands of notes, some published in books and articles, and some still not. I have used many, occasionally with luck and inspiration, but they may inspire others too: like scattered beads suggest possible bracelets, notes well-chosen have the capacity of suggesting further interpretations and elaborations.
